axle back exhaust, HELP QUICK, ORDERING NOW

rock came up and punched a hole in my stock muffler. I dont want to drop $500+ for a full catback right now. Whats the best sounding muffler/axleback setup? Stillen has an axleback setup, but its like $300. PLZ help! I'm a little wary of buying one of those $30 mufflers on E-bay.

first of all why dont you just make your own exhaust its usually cheaper well it was for me anyway. i got a muffler from ebay that i thought looked decent and i liked, then i got it welded onto my rear section pipe and had the shop make it 2.5" pipe up to the rear flange there so same thing as rear section and it only costed $45 to weld and for pipe, but thats cheap my friend got that done on his car and it costed him $180 for the same thing, either way cheaper than $300 but whatever ya like

thats exactly what I was planning on doing unless I can find a good axleback for well under $300. Im just worried about picking up a cheapo muffler on ebay and having it sound like total ****.

well it wont really matter just get one that looks good to you, personally i got one with a 4 1/2" tip so that it filled the bumper cutout and is deep. But as for sound quality you cant ever sound as bad as some of those civics rolling around...EVER! our engine is naturally deep and bassy under 3.5K rpm so no matter what it will be nice there and after that is when you should be worried but as long as your keeping you resinator and cat it should sound just like you want it to sound...btw my muffler was only like $40 lol its alive and kicking awsome if you want to see a vid of it i have one if you message me on AIM

There is a company that sells cheap axle-backs on eBay, $180 shipped I believe. I think it's called Megan Racing.

Stillen sells theirs for around $330 shipped, and Remus sells one for around $540 shipped.

megan racing ones i think only come in cat-back, my friend is a dealer for them and thats what he thought a few months ago, also the megan racing mufflers sound like poop there high pitched and gross so whatever you do dont get a "megan" muffler make sure of it
