May have big problems...MIL codes inside
#1
2 short 1 fast = 0201 = Ignition signal primary
6 short 3 fast = 0603 = Cyl 6 misfire
5 short 12 fast= 0512 = ???
The other night, I took a drive in the rain. After the car sat for about 1/2 hour, I started it up and it ran like hell. It wanted to stall but didn't. Ran really ruff. It eventually worked itself out. The next day driving to work, the SLIP light from the traction control system came on as well as the MIL. Started running real bad again. Then it straightened itself out. Thought it might be a short from the rain in the traction control system. It was running like it would when the wheels are slipping and the traction control limits the rpm (however it does that). Maybe it thought the wheels were continually slipping.
Any insight? It will be going to the dealer this week. Now, should I remove my CAI or leave it on???

DTC 0603 points to a misfire on cylinder #6. A variety of problems could spawn this code...
- Improper spark plug
- Insufficient compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation volume control valve
- Open or shorted fuel injector circuit
- Faulty fuel injector
- Air leaks in the intake manifold
- Open or shorted secondary ignition circuit
- Lack of fuel
- Magnetized signal plate (flywheel or A/T drive plate)
- Front oxygen sensors
The front bank of cylinders is #2, #4, #6. Many kinds of service procedures are easier on the front bank because the components are more accessible. If you care to do some diagnosis before going to the dealer, consider the following steps.
1) Exchange the #2 and #6 ignition coils.
2) Exchange the #4 and #6 fuel injectors.
3) Reset the ECM.
4) Drive the car normally and wait for the Service Engine Soon light to go on.
5) Do a DTC readout.
If the misfire DTC points to #2, you probably have a bad coil assembly.
If the DTC points to #4, you probably have a bad fuel injector.
If the DTC still points at #6 you have at least narrowed the scope of investigation and should proceed to do a fuel pressure test and compression test.

Thanks. Just found out this was happening to acitrano's I30. The dealer has not been able to figure anything out on his. I may mess with it just for the hell of it.
