is it bad??

is it bad for the car to do burnouts on wet surfaces to where the car goes into 3rd gear? A friend of mine did this and i was wondering if this is bad for the car. He also does alot of burnouts on wet streets up to like "80mph"(the wheel speed not the actual car speed) is this bad for the car?

It's possible. i don't know if it's bad. When I use to do burnouts I could get to 60 sometimes but I think it just means that his tires are pretty bad because if they had a lot of grip then it would be harder to do a burnout at that wheel speed. And on a wet surface yeah they will spin. I don't think it is bad for the car though, unless the burnout is with an auto from N to Drive.

Burning out is fun and very amusing but it's not suppose to happen. Do it too many times and you might break something.

Just make sure it's your tires spinning and not your clutch slipping...
