Greddy SP impression

hey guys just finished up installing a Greddy SP on my car. i have a 1999 with warpspeed Y pipe and JWT popcharger. the car does pull harder i can feel a diffrence in the power, especially higher up in the rpm range. as fof sound, its not high pitch or farty. its very deep and mellow. don't know if i like it very much yet. there is power though...

I love the sound of the SP on my brother's car he has the SP2. Why didn't you put on the newer one? It's full SS.

Shut the hell up. Right for once, give me brake. I don't see answering anyone just posting crap like this. Why give a review of a cat-back that's been out for over 2 years and isn't available for sale anymore?

Do you mean give you a break?
somone's going to ask and now they know. i like to think of it as me doing my part to help give a little something back to the org. In any even i have done some driving and i can say that it is tolerable at crusing speeds about 80mph and 3200rpm. unlike you 95-96 guys 97-99 maxima's are a little more limited in exhaust selection. i wish i were as fortunate as you big D to have a 96 maxima instead of my 99.

Don't mind Big D, he's from Chicago. That's just the way they are up there. I should know, I'm from Chicago, too. (But I got to Texas as soon as I could! Haha.)

Do you get any droning at cruise?

no droning at cruise, at all i am very surprised. i drive 40 miles to work everyday and usually around 3100-3600rpm in 5th gear and it is bearly noticeable above stock. when you do get on it you know its there. i am very satisfied. i wish they made the SP2 for the 97-99 MAXIMAS

I've heard almost every NAME BRAND exhaust made for the max, APEX, GREDDY, OBX. I can honestly say that you're wrong about the SP. Everything you said is pretty much true but only if you're listening from the inside of the car. Most cat-backs sound good from the inside. Deep, refined, not raspy at all. As soon as you hear from the outside you realize it's not as nice as you thought. The greddy is deeper than the others but it's also one of the raspier ones, STILLEN and OBX being probably the most. All of them sound pretty bad at WOT when driving by and I have yet to hear one that sounds really nice. It's all the damn Y-pipes fault.

As true as this maybe I and I alone drive me car, GF can't drive 5speed, no one in my family cares to drive my car nor wants to drive my car. so as long as i can tolerate it inside the car, i think my $400 was well spent. also the reason i am doing this somewhat informative impression is because prior to purchasing the exhaust myself i was curious about some of the things i have described in this post. so this may help any of the guys who are going to get the SP2 especially my poor 97-99 brothers. i know "NIssanfreak" purchased the SP@ for a 95-96 and is moding it to fit his 99 i hope this works for him.

I'm surprised more people don't just modify the exhausts to work with 95-96 or 97-99. It's an extra $20-$30. If they can find a good deal on it they shouldn't be discouraged just cause it needs a little modification.

Thanks Slammed, see you're always helping out.

i agree with slammed on banning Big D from the world. of his 2489 posts, im guessing 2400 of them came from him posting about how he hates race threads, or just ripping on other people in general. zack342 was just posting about his exhaust, and of course you chime in with some stupid a$$ pointless comment "how can you feel 5 hp, its all in your head." who cares? if he feels it, he feels it. you just ***** up threads for no reason. and learn how to spell, give me a BREAK, not BRAKE...

oh, btw zack, thats good news about your exhaust. i was looking into getting that set up, but i just went cheap and got the muffler shop to custom bend me one.

You made me feel sad. Give me a BREAK, happy?! It's always very funny to read how someone says that my posts aren't helpful to the thread yet you are doing the same thing. You're not helping, you're just writing something that doesn't even matter. And it's always people that I flamed in the past, every single one of them feels the need to tell me I'm acting like a *****. I tried to change the way I post, trust me I did. I wish I had the constraints that many people here have. Some have been here for years and have a 10th of my posts. I couldn't do that. There's just som much nonsense and newbiness that it's bacame sort of an impulse thing for me. I just wish some of you got over it, got a life, and stoppped getting mad over something some kid thousands of miles away said.

its been two days since i have installed the exhaust and i have to say i have no regrets, i highly recomend this exhaust to anyway. i had a minor fitment glitch which involved me plugging an etra 02 sensor bung for a sensor that was not on my 99. great the greddy you will love it and that is my .02 cents
