who sanded their plastic panels before painting with metallic silver paint? i want to know how the surface looked after sanding with the 400grit paper. there was some residue from an air freshener that when removed, seemed to strip some of the finish off, leaving a really glossy spot. i was wondering how minor sanding with fine grit paper would result

 

I did it...it looked all rough and sanded...use like 1000 grit
