Just a question has anyone ever changed their timing chain tensioner or chain?? My max has a noise similar to a knocking noise when its cold and you hold the revs around 1500. Its deffinetly not lifters, i think it could be either the main tensioner or the chain tensioner on the secondary chain on the rear bank. it comes from that direction, but only when cold for around 2-3 minutes till a little heat gets into the motor.

its done 187000 km's (116000 miles)

i give it a resonably hard time but it's meticulously maintained

anybody experienced similar??
