2 things...

1: Fuel additives, Like STP and such... Worth the effort? Or complete bollocks?

2: Steel-mesh cone filters, they need to be oiled too right?

if it's fuel injector cleaner then it's worth it cause you need to have good injectors flowing correctly
if the cone filter is not the sponge and is like the K&N then you can oil it for cleaning.

It's actually the REworks steel mesh intake:



Everything I've read on the net about steel mesh intakes, says that they don't need oiling...

Now I'm confused

Fuel additives . . . . only if they are injector cleaners (recommend Sea Foam)
Cone filters . . . . try to stick with the stock air box and a K&N panel filter. You will be happier. As far as oiling the generic cone filters you will have to research. Oiling is usually for re-usable filters.
