#1: Does the B&M STS come with good installation instructions, and does it require removing the catalytic converter and some work underneath the car; or can it be done solely from the inside?

#2: What would you rate the difficulty of changing the brakes on our maxes? I mean... It's just removing the tire, the caliper, cleaning all the components correctly, resetting the piston and putting it all back together right?

I dont know anything about the shifter... I have an auto... however the brakes are too easy... I mean really really easy. Take the tire off... the caliper floats on the rotor so all you have to do is take out the 2 bolts on the calipers... or if your lazy like me, you can take out the bottom one and loosen the top one and swing it around... get a C clamp to push the piston back in and put in the pads.. its that easy.

The shifter is pretty easy. Having a buddy to help you is even better. Instructions are probably in the HOW TOs.

i figured it was fairly simple but I wanted to know if you need to get under the car and remove the cat, because i'd have to make arrangements to "borrow" someones house/driveway or garage. My workplace is the street and a sidewalk you see

you just remove the rubber hangars from the cat and take out 5 screws from the heat shield and pull the cat down and slide the heat shield out. i did mine a few days ago and i love it

You have to get under the car either way. When we did the install we just removed the heat shield, didn't even bother with the cat. It wasn't really in the way.
