i havea 98 maxima gxe (auto) and i wanna change my muffler so that my muffler tip will fit the opening diameter on my bumper. i want a exhaust but I dunt have the money for that can any one suggest a muffler that has a big tip , because i just dunt want to add a tip beacause then it will look cheesy, i want a muffler wif a tip that fits my bumber diameter and doesnt make noise. ( i dont mind a little noise at high revs though) any suggestions ????

they do sell the rear section only pieces but It would still cost you money since its a universal which would need some piping work done to get a perfect fit. dont know if that many would come with a 5" tip like you want it so you can just buy the weld on tips that look better than the bolt ons

DONT do THAT! JUst get some tips and put them on and then get a hammer and a nail then poke a hole in the muffler. It makes a real mean sound when u do thta. I put 8 holes in my muffler but hannibal complains sumtimes that it is TOO loud. So only put one hole if u want little louder then stock.

When I went back to my stock muffler I was concerned about the wimpy look from the stock pipe. I went to a few auto stores and found a nice Brospeed SS tip for $22 (Stillen also carries these). A local muffler shop cut off the factory pipe and welded the new tip on perfectly. It looks like an aftermarket muffler, without the noise. They come in a variety of sizes, I chose 3.5".
