touch-up paint
touch-up paint
I do a lot of interstate driving and my hood and front end have gotten chipped up. I've put dealer touch-up paint on the chips, but since it's brushed on, it looks like hell. How can I make touchups look better with minimal impact (to as little surrounding paint as necessary)?
Thanks.
Thanks.
www.paintscratch.com tells you how to do it, good luck
I saw a hood deflector on a 4th Gen the other day and it looked ok to me. Not sure how effective it is. Take your car to Chips Away if they have one in your area and get a quote. They would blend in the area in question unless it is interspersed all over the hood and then likely clearcoat the entire hood. I am considering using them for a key job on my door that is about 6 inches long (squiggly line). They would blend in the area around the problem and clearcoat the entire door for C$145, versus C$700 that I was quoted by a bodyshop a year ago.
existing touch up blobs
Thanks for the advice. I've since gotten a Magnetbra for the hood, and it looks good, except for the past touchups that show thru as bumps. Should I use 220- or higher grit to sand them down, then reapply using the right method?
