the bright red paint on the 97+ max's

Does anyone know what that color is called... i'd love to get my car re-painted in that!

It was only available on 1999 SE-L models. The color is called Crimson Blaze.

yep, Crimson Blaze Red, only available on '99.5 SE-L models

Color code AR2, just telling them a color won't get you far.

Wasnt there also a red colored max produced before the SE-Limited Max's?

There was a maroon color in 95, not sure about 96. It wasn't offered on 97-99 models as far as I know.

is that crimson blaze the same color that altimas came in too. see alot of altimas, like the 2000 design and it had a nice red color

In '99 Nissan offered special editions in the Pathfinder, Altima, Sentra, and Maxima, all with the Crimson Blaze color. Not sure if they were all called SE-L though.

Do most paint shops carry that color by another name or would they have to send for the mix from Nissan?

Any paint shop can mix it if they have the code...AR2.
