Just got a '96...
I figured I'd introduce myself in the 4th gen. forum since I just found a 1996 Maxima SE 5 spd. that seemed to be running like a charm. I love this car...everything is sooo tight, and fast. Anyway, I also found out about a bad driver side axle seal that seemed to be the reason for my tranny leaking gear oil. This was a day after I got it. So after two trips back (1 hr. plus drive), and numerous trips to my local mechanic, I'm getting a brand new/rebuilt tranny for my new car. Oh yeah, this is all under warrantee.
Now that I've got that cleared outta the way, here's some more specs...This car has 131xxx miles on it, w/ a deep evergreen exterior matched with a beige/tan leather interior, auto climate control, heated seats, the works.
Anyway, so that's me. I'll try to get some pics sometime soon.

Congratulations, welcome to the 4th Gen Forums... Read everything in the stickies as time allows - because you will need that info. sooner or later and its always feels good to know of the issues before hand rather than trying to find the answers once you are already in the jam...

The leather interior is almost in perfect condition...shift ****/boot/e-brake boot could be replaced, but it's not that big of a deal. Other than that, and a few scratches on the exterior, this car seems to be in excellent condition. I got this car for $4800 cash w/ 131xxx miles on it...About $1000 under blue book value. Thanks for the welcome, and I'll be seeing you guys on the org.

Thanks everyone, I'll keep you posted on my tranny situation. Also, skiboarder, good luck in selling your car, if you still want to. I just couldn't pass this up, and this will give me the opportunity to mod it myself.

yeah, I didn't even realize it either, there are a lot of people from CT, or at least from this part of the country - New England, Tri-state area, etc. Yea, there does seem to be a lot of good max's for sale around here. Everyone on this and other forums are having a hard time finding manual maximas...Last week I found about 5 newly added ones alone. Oh well, Thanks for the reply.

Amen about the blemishes, there's a couple on my car too.
