I am trying to fix the atenna on my brothers 95 Max. I went to the junk and got a antenna mass out of a bashed up 95 Max. I took out the old atenna from my brothers max (it was broken), and put in the new one connected the power and tube thing at the bottom, but it still didnt work. Is there something I need to do to get the atenna to work out should it have worked once I got it all installed and wires connected?

when you turn the radio on/off do you hear the sound of a litler antenna motor working?
if no sound then it is the antenna motor that is broken.
btw see if you installed the new antenna correctly.

 

Acutally I heard some sound when I turn on and off the radio, it sounded like a little knock sound, like it was trying to extend maybe, not sure, but I know i heard a sound definately.

 

try reomoving the antenna putting some grease on it, and instaling again.

 

Cool, I'll try that, put I have some silicon, will put that on and hope that fixes the problem.
