Does your front-end rattle?
Hey guys, could you please help me troubleshoot this problem I have had for a while? It seems everytime I go over any bump or dip in the road, a rattling sound comes from my front driver's side. It sounds like its coming from the wheel or somewhere close. Kind of a metal rattle sound. I can also feel it slightly in the steering wheel.
I replaced my brakes about a year ago. I just put on my kyb struts/shocks and maxspeed springs yesterday and today, and the rattle is still there. It's very annoying. Makes my maxi feel/sound like a junker.
I checked out the brakes while I had the car up on the jackstands. I didn't take anything apart, but it didn't look like anything was wrong with them.
Any ideas?
I'm just about clueless. I hope it doesn't turn out to be something major.
Thanks!

Did you use spring insulators on the spring so it wouldn't rattle against the struts and mounts?
I was getting a squeaking type noise for over a year and re-installed the suspension 2 or 3 times trying to get rid of the noise until recently I figured out that it was the hood lock needed greasing
Check your hood and make sure it's not rattling.

Check the inner brake pads. I had that with my rear brakes when I had them installed, noone could figure it out until the wheel was off. The brake pad on the inside of the wheel was missing a piece so it was rattling. Very annoying but its fixed.. .. hope this helps..

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna check the hood latch, but I seriously think it's coming from the wheel area. Probably brake pad like you said teeezmaxSE. I highly doubt it's the suspension, because I put alot of spiral wrap on the springs.
Thanks again,

Drew..
Keep in mind that if you look at the brake pad and try to move it, it may be stuck.. I don't know howmany times i checked the brake pad and was convinced that it was that but then after playing around with it, it got unstuck and was loose.
So, double and quadruple check it and let me know.
