Tinted Stock tails and removed tint
Nice tint job on the stock taillights. Can you point me to a how-to for that? Is it the same process as the DTM how-to on vqpower.com?
I'm just leery of leaving my stock tails in the oven because I did that with the gen1 altezzas to try and pry the plastic cover off and succeeded in melting the back of the housing where the bulb is held in place.

Actually its not even oven related. Its a transparent paint called Niteshades. Only aftermarket type of stores have it, your local pepboys, autozones wont. However you can order it from www.summitracing.com
I hate the amber in the tail lights so i masked off the lower red area and sprayed the amber with transparent candy apple red (testors model paint) and then i sprayed about 5 coats of this niteshades over it with some clear coat and viola. In the day its kinda hard to see the reverse lights, but nights fine. You can always use less tint coats.
PM me if you have any questions
