I'm not talking about the MAS, i'm talkin about the temperature sensor. The reason I'm asking is that I just installed a Stillen intake. and the filter left a hole at the top to stick the temp. sensor in, however, i can't find it anywhere. They said it should be in the stock air box, but i looked everywhere and couldn't find it. However, once i started the car, after installing it, the check engine light WAS NOT ON. So, either the 98 nissan maxima did not come with a temperature sensor, or you don't need it when installin the intake (in that case Stillen is wrong).
RIght now, i just have a rubber cupplet in hole of the filter.

If some one wants to clear up what the website is saying about the sensor mounting, please do so.

 

Look further down into the intake setup. It should be on the side of the "tube". You will need to splice into that temp. sensor (I recomend that you take it to a shop) to make it reach the new location on top of the Sillen filter.
