Hi, I've got a moderately hard 1-2 shift, under moderate to hard acceleration. No other shift problems, ever. Is this "normal" or an indicator that I've got problems coming. Synth trans fluid looks good, 146K miles.

It's very normal having hard shift on 1-2.
if it's during hard acceleration, then it's more than normal
to have hard shift.

 

Yeah my old 97 shifted pretty harsh from 1st to second, all of the 4th gens I drove did as well.
