Low speed driver side rattle :(

Been noticing this more lately. When travelling at low speeds, usually 50km/h, I can hear a squeeking/rattle coming from the drivers side (would be your passenger side in the US) towards the front of the car when ever I go over a bump that shakes the car I don't think it's the suspension thats making the noise as it doesn't occur over more subtle bumps. Doesn't seem to be present at high speeds though (over 80km/h).

Any ideas what this could be and how I can go about fixing it? Any way I can diagnose it further? Thanks for any help

Its probably your hood lock needed some grease and maybe adjustment. I was pulling at my hair for over a year trying to find the source of the noise.

Hmm, might have a look into that and see if that helps. Hopefully that is all it is, would be nice and easy

Think its coming from under your car. Probably one of the heat shields around the exhuast pipes or cat. Its probably rusted and making a rattleing noise when your car is in idle or at low speeds which the transmission in Drive or in gear if its a manual.

To fix. Look under your car and see if anything is loose or looks like it would rattle. For a cheap fix either remove it if its just a small rusted clamp or sheild or wrap a coat hanger or wire around it and make it tight. Otherwise get it replaced.
Good luck!
