Just to let the .org know.... Buy a V1.

Valentine 1. Oh man. I just made the drive from Springfield MO, to Ft. Worth TX, in 7 hours.
Let me tell you, the V1 was worth every penny.
Just save up and get it. It will not prevent you from speeding or getting tickets, but it is a good reminder for me not to speed when cops are around.

I have been reading reviews saying that the new Passport 8500 is more sensitive and can pick up a new type of radar that the v1 can't. I am still debating on which to get (although the v1 looks more badass than the passport).

debating btw the v1 and the passport. Some praise the hell out of the valentine while others believe the passport does a better job of detection.

why? i have a bel 980 (2 years old) still picks up pretty much everything... drive the speed limit, period.. not worth it, speeding seriously is not worth it. increases your chances of a fatality, injury, everything..

idk just my $0.02... i like to know cops are around, but no need to detect them 1.9889 million miles away...

ohh and nothing will help you from laser... sorry

Have fun with your $400 radar detector...People just need to slow down, if your meant to get a ticket, your gonna get one. And most cops on the expressway/freeway use laser anyways, and your precious V1 will not pick that **** up....
