I havent seen them nor do I have any experience with them, however I do know that carquest does NOT make their own pads, they are pads that are manufactured by another company (ie Raybestos I dont know which one exactly) However try checking on the box or look at the pads. I used to work in an auto parts store and we would buy brakes by the truck load. Napa, CarQuest and all these companies buy the pads cheap and rebox them under their own name.
I think they say something like ceramic blend....I am just wondering if thats what all ceramic pads are...or if this is something else...I know axis advertises ceramic pads but I dont want to pay for those...I am just wondering if anyone has experience with these or any other ceramic blend pads...I am really just looking for something grabs just as good if not better than stock, and does not dust at all or very little.
If its a ceramic blend then its not a true ceramic pad like the axis ones, its probably mixed with regular metal. I bought some carbon metallic pads and those suckers grip... but they grind and make ALOT of dust... after 3 or 4 days it looks like I have gunmetal wheels. I have had quite a few experiences with many brake pads... and honestly I would narrow it down to the following choices for OUR cars and by these pads get the best ones you can get not the cheapo versions... OEM, Bendix, Wagner and Raybestos...
