Amsoil air filter?

Does anyone know if the Amsoil air filters are any good? Amsoil claims that their filters are better than K&Ns. All manufacturers always claim that their products are better than the rest, but has anyone actually tried these? Any experiences?

Thanks!

amsoil makes a very high quality oil and ail filters. if I were rich i'd use amsoil instead of mobil 1, but the cost per quart is more. i do believe they were the first company to both make a true synthetic, and then they made the first zero weight oil.

many racing teams use amsoil, it's a very good company. My friend and I used to run both the oil and air filter in our project '79 camaro (built 350 with radical cam / 3 angle valve job, fuelie heads and tons of other goodies pushing 450hp.) smooth as a my gf's *** up to 7500 rpm.

i would definitely say the company for quality is on par with K&N, but I can't say for sure that it's actually better.

I've had the Amsoil filter in the stock airbox for about 14 mos. now (also in my wife's Sentra). I thinks it's great. It definitely flows better than a regular paper filter. They claim that the flow is equal too, or better than a K&N, but the filtering is better. Also, you don't need to buy a special cleaning kit to clean it out. Just use a mild soap (like Dawn), dry it out well, and add the Amsoil filter oil. I think the oil only cost me about $4 for enough to do the filter like 10 times.
Hope this helps.

the best kind of filter for your engine is a dirty filter! believe it or not. you'll lack some preformance but almost nothing will get in that sucker
