did anyone solve the shaking problem yet/ I tried again
It's just so annoying for a car with 94k, so I was willing to open up the checkbook, maybe up to $500. Went to the shop, they looked at it, said the wheel bearings/ball joints/tie rods in and out are tight. Only thing they could suggest was an alignment for $49.95, on the latest/greatest Hunter machine, and yes, the toe was out of spec. Paid them for the alignment but no the shaking in the steering wheel did not go away. C'mon now, what is the solution? Is the the tie rods? Let's just take everything into consideration. We all know Nissan uses cheap suppliers, so can the parts cause the vibration although it can't be found by inspecting externally? There is an answer for this problem, it's not like you have to graduate from Princeton to find it.

My point is that I gave the tire shop carte blanche to ROBB Report ME. Unless they thought I was from Fox Undercover, they couldn't find anything externally.

Ok, what you say makes sense too. Not sure that you could feel worn CV's by putting the vehicle on a lift and feeling for free-play by hand. You might be on to something.
