Thought I would post some pics showing some new updates to the Max. New Tinted Tails, Installed Rearview Mirror (from I30 wired and working), & Window Tint (35% upfront and 20% rear).

 

 

 

wasnt it fun insatlling that mirror? lol. i did that mod a while ago but props to you for doing it also. it helps when i didnt have my windows tinted but now that i am going to get my windows tineted 6% limo tint i dont think i will need it but it is a cool mod. where did you get the wiring from and did you change the bcm also? if you didnt, get a bcm from a i30 and then you can add more nice featerus to your max that the i30 has. thats what i did including the i30t auto ecu also. these parts will be for sale after i am done with my swap.

BCM?

I have a 5sp with Auto CC already, but I got the wires from Radio Shack and wired it into the car. I followed the wiring for an I30 and hooked into those exact places without the BCM, if that's what you mean. I actually did this mod after the Window Tint and let me tell you the mirror will still dim even with the Tint, which I though was cool. I also got rid of that annoying problem where the sun hits between the Sun Visors and the mirror. I installed some Tint, if you look closely you can see it in the pic. You should do this, it's a great addition to any Max. I will take some pic's of the Tint behind the mirror up close.

 

No, no write up, but I can write something up. It's really simple, not hard to do at all. Took a total of about an hour for both lights. I actually just followed someone else's writeup. Let me know if you need a writeup, I can whip something out real quick, it's that simple.

 

I have been thinking about that, but everytime I see a white Max with shaved emblems it looks naked to me. I does look good with shaved emblems, but once shaved it's like hmm, it's missing something. I don't know maybe I have just grown to see the emblems all the time.

 

i'd recommend to shave just the nissan logo, leaving the maxima on there
dats wat i did to my car and the back looks great

please shave the key hole as well!

 

also change the bulbs in the back outer lights that are in the corner. they look pink now.

The Pink color comes from the reflection of sunlight into the camera. It's actually a red lens and not a bulb.

those arnt DTM tails? look the same to me. Looks good.

 

I think I am going to photoshop this in a pic and check it out. The more I look at it the more I think you guys are right.

As for the Tails they are DTM.

They look really nice, especially on white. Maybe I'm blind but doesn't the left side look outer tail look a little lighter than the right side, or it could just be the pic or the angle.

Anyway looks really nice.
