ight thanks does anyone know where i can get 1 for a decent price? also is it hard to install sorry for the stupid question -i havent looked it up if its hard to install just let me know if it is or not thanks
I just got mine replaced....OMG it was out for like 3 months....WHAT A DIFFERENCE.....definately get this done ASAP and make it top priority even though it isn't really "bad" for the engine but once you have it back in you will be amazed....at least I was.

He said that during his 10 years of experience, he's only seen a knock sensor replaced once (and that was for like flood damage or somethin). The engine vibration could be because it needs a tune up, something isn't mounted correctly/has gotten out of wack, etc.

well i don't know about that...i got the silent 0304 and I replaced and havent had it back....car preforms great....when you get that silent code it means that the sensor is dead...it just stop sending volts to the ignition timing and ECU

Mine just went out. I have 167 miles. Never got the code before. Now it keeps coming back everytime I reset it. And YES, you can really feel the lack of power between 2 and 3 thousand RPMs
At least on an automatic.
Knock Sensor detects "knock"/"pinging" due to low octane or other similar factors...
When it does, the ECM retards the timing by "X" degrees for a certain length of time... you lose power and gas mileage...
No one here can determine if YOUR knock sensor is bad.... you decide.
