changing odometer lights in 98 SE

I ripped out my whole dash and got to the back of my gauges and there are no bulbs that look anything like any of the examples on the how to page. does anyone have pics with which bulbs to pull on a 98 SE?

please reply asap

i believe there are 5 bulbs for the gauges and they are towards the center of the cluster, #74 bulbs they twist out, you can always plug the cluster back in, turn on the lights, and unplug bulbs one by one until you find what you are looking for.

do the bulbs twist out of the brown/black little house thing, or is it part of the bulb

Have you found any bulbs at all? I'm speaking from experience with my '95, so it may not apply to your '98, but I have the little brown things that you twist like a 1/4 or a 1/2 turn and they'll come out and the bulbs are attached to that (it's not part of the bulb). You can then just pull the bulb out of that.

i have a 97 so i don't know if it applies but they are brown bases, 5 of them. they were 194 bubls for mine. you could buy them at almost any stores, leds or bulbs will work. just save those brown bases.
