Stealership said faulty O2 sensor in Front Bank 2. Is that left front or right front?

Not sure which one the mechanic is takin about here. The thing that gets me is that I recently self-diagnoses my CEL and got 0409. I know of people who have gotten 0503 (which indicates a front O2 sensor prob). My diagnosis and the mechanic's don't match up. What's going on here?

Thanks!

If the cel throws an upstream left bank, it is the sensor in the front, upstream right is the other one. I would just test them according to your hayens manual and see which one is really bad.

The guy said that it was the one closest to the grille. Is that the left one or the right one he's talkin about?

No, PO153=0413. Both are for the front 02 sensor LEFT bank meaning the one closer to the front of the car.

Gotcha, thanks a lot Dave Sz. Gonna go order the the left front O2 sensor from buyoxygensensors.com right now.

Anyone got any suggestions on brand names? There are a bunch of supposed OEM ones to choose from.

Bosch is OEM. I bought the Bosch universal and spliced it with the old connector. Go to the GD forum as I think the deal for O2 sensors is still going on.
