Types of tint

Well, I'm looking at getting tint soon, and was wondering what are some popular tints. I didn't know there were different kinds of tints til a little while ago.

So far, here is what I know..

Regular tint
Mirror Tint
Limo tint (5%)
Colored tint

Is it common for most people to get the regular tint? I'm looking at getting 35 all around and hopefully get away with it. VA law is 50% front and 35% rear.

And also.. is it not very common a shop which will do tint (I'm looking at this store called "The Tint Shoppe" on route 1 in woodbridge) to offer a lifetime warrantee if the tint bubbles, etc? My friend says this is a reputable shop, and they sure seem like it, especially with their guarantee.

Any suggestions/comments greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

you should be fine with 35%. my car came that way and it's really not that dark-looking. and yeah, a lifetime warranty is pretty much the standard for good shops.

My friend has 35 all around(you can't have any front window tint in Illinois) and he hasn't had a problem(been pulled over 3-4 times). Also on a similar note, he doesn't have a front license plate. I really think they should standardize these laws somewhat, it's pretty stupid to have different tint laws for each state. If they actually enforced them, you probably couldn't drive across the country with any tint < 50 on your car.

fortunately, in a lot of states the tint laws apply only to vehicles registered in that state (you know, fyi).
