PLEASE HELP!!!!!!CAI question

I have just recieved my new place racing intake yesterday and had 1 question before I start putting it on. The pipe with the 3 pipes coming out of it -i think it is called the midpipe-what exactly is that lil hole for on the side the one that has the rubber gasket on it -the hole is right under the side with the 2 lil pipes coming out of it - I know what the 3 pipes are for but what exactly is the hole for- please let me know and thanks in advance

It's the EDIT* air temp EDIT* for the intake. The right handed green circle.



I think that it comes from the mid part of air box.

it might actually be for a nitrous setup but you should put your air temp sensor in there like the pic above. How did you secure it in there Taken2DaMax ?

i dont see it on the mid part of my air box??? i dunno is there anyway u can show me with a picture sry just dont see it

the only other sensor that i see is the one connected to the back end of the air scoop thing all the way in the back of it just about under the throttle body -that is the only sensor that i see that it could be if you know what im talking about please let me know

Sensoir in Airbox

It is for the senor that is in the air box. It is a pain to get into that gromet, but i get mine in, took some work and some hotglue but works and looks real nice.

i dont see the senosr in the air box is there anyway u can take a pic and circle it or anything also what about that other sensor that i saw at the back end of that air scoop in the way back right before it goes into stock air box

won't your hot glue melt in the engine bay temperature?

is there any way someone can tell me exactly where it is that sensor or show me exactly where it is ill check back when i get home from work 2night at 9 thanks also where does that other sensor go?

Well your engine compartment should not be running that hot, It taks approx. 180 to melt hot glue, Also with being on the intake that metal should not get near that hot since it is sucking cold air.

The one sensor that you are talking about on the plastic air scoop is the AIR TEMPERTURE SENSOR. That sensor is the one that you plug into the rubber piece of your new CAI. You will have to pull it out, then pull off the rubber piece of the a.t. sensor (if still on there) and finally push that sucker in there.
