changing oil pan gasket, plz help

hi, does anyone know if it is easy to change an oil pan gasket in a 98 max? my max has a leak, didn't look like engine oil, but after getting it inspected, i was told i needed a new oil pan gasket, i ordered the parts. is it easy? do u have to take out the engine? how long and how much will a mechanic charge to do it?
plz help, tnx

it shuld be relativly easy, seeing as how the oil pan is relatily small. It just depends on your mechanical abilty. NOO you dont have to take out the engine.
