Heated Seats Question

I have leather powered seats. I was looking for that thread where someone installed heaters in their seats but couldn't find it. Can someone search for it or tell me how to do that. I know it's still summer, but I wanna be ready when winter comes. Thanks.

I wouldnt say that adding heated seats isnt a possibility but it does require some time.. I decided to add leather and heated seats to my max at the same time.. I did some investigating and found that not every car comes from the factory prewired with the harnesses for the heated seats. I didnt want aftermarket heaters because I didnt like the switches. After finding the part numbers for the seat elements, with no help from the dealer, I found out how expensive they are. The dealer wanted $212 per element and you need four total elements and $65 for each switch. I got the switches and wiring harnesses from the junkyard for about $75 total.. If you use the factory switches you need the factory connectors. If you take out the center console the cutouts are marked for where the switches go, I used a dremel tool and cut the holes. The wiring is easy, a lead needs to go to 12v source when the key is on, and a ground if I remember correctly. Now I wanted everything to be wired as if it had come from the factory installed. So I got a wiring terminal from the dealer and wired them right into the fuse panel as it would have come from the factory. There is a fuse in the fuse panel under the dash for the heated seats but there isnt any wire coming from the back of the connector to go to the heated seats. That is why I got the crimp terminal from the dealer (good luck getting the dealer to find you what you need.. I ended up taking one of the terminals out and cutting it off to take with me so that I would get the right thing, the dealer I went to didnt sell the terminals but had them in the nissan wiring terminal repair kit and they just gave me two) The factory shop manual was very helpful in helping me locate which connector and where to add the wire to. As for the seat elements.. I found a website that sells them for about $150 each. WWW.NISSANPARTS.CC the parts are not listed in the catalog but if you enter the two part numbers in the search field on the left they will come up. The part numbers are 87335-41U40 and 87635-41U40 and you need two of each for driver and passenger seats. The heating elements are delicate so be careful when you put them in, they have a peel and stick backing that adheres them to the foam seat pad. The whole project could be completed in a day. The end results were well worth it, nothing like warm seats in the winter.

Wish I had heated seats (and mirrors!), especially with the snow we got here earlier this week. Damn it was cold...
