so, i have two worries with my 97 maxima. first, whenever i start my engine (overnight or when it's not warmed up from previous drives) i hear a grinding noise after i start my ignition. i have no idea what that could be. second, i doubt i have a tranny problem but i notice that when i accelerate and change gears, the rpm drops .5, hovers for a second, and drops again. is my gauge broken or my tranny oil? i recently got an engine flush. oh, i drive an auto. well i appreciate any thoughts. thanks!!

 

I think it drops again because its going into O/D.

Something about the torque converter locking up.. dont quote me ;-)
