GC Coilovers + ?

Hey all I want to purchase GC coilovers and need your advice on what shocks would perform well with them. I'm looking for a pretty firm ride and shocks that will last me awhile. I'm guessing the choices are Tokico Illuminas, Koni Sports, or KYB AGX. Thank you in advance.

I'd stay away from the GCs. Why buy cheap-*** coilovers when you can get some really good springs, EIBACHS. I know you probably want them for the height adjustability but trust me, they are crap. Just get some illuminas and eibachs.

Thanks for the input Dave, I have another question then, if I purchased Tokico Illuminas and Tein S-techs, what else would I need? installation kit wise. Thx

Not sure if the illuminas come with dust bootsor not. You'd probably need those. you'll need 2 of these http://www.coximport.com/store/sb103 and 2 of these http://www.coximport.com/store/sb108 . Besides that you'll need a 17mm wrench, 22mm socket, 19mm deep socket, 14mm socket, 10mm socket if you have ABS, breaker bar, and spring compressors from autozone, free to rent with $45 deposit.

Really? I'm surprised as people usually get rid of them ASAP. I guess the perches must be bad or the springs themselves are different than the prokit.

they are a bit rough but it depends on how low they are set. I havnt been in a car that had just the Eibachs but since they are fixed springs they are bigger then the ones on the GC's... but I heard that Eibachs in general is a harsh ride.. i guess it depends on peoples tolarance on the ride...
