knock sensor real power loss hp tq numbers

first of all i have a 99 se automagic and i just finally looked up the codes ive had for a while and one of which is a bad knock sensor (0304) and from what i could find you loose most all of your low to mid range tourque. now ive had this code prolly sense ive had the car and i thought it was pretty fast off the line for an auto. now i come too see that i have a chunk of power missing?!? does anyone know exacly how much hp and tq is lost when you have a bad knock sensor that has failed? also if any other automatic guys out there had theres go to the crapper on them and have a story of big power gains afterwards im all ears because i really want somthing to look forward to after paying the insane amount of money for a lil tiny thing lol. -ryan

I also have a bad knock sensor. With a bad knock sensor and my mods: intake, exhaust, y-pipe I ran a best time of 10.7 sec @70 mph in the 1/8 mile. I really think I can improve those numbers with a new knock sensor.

If your KS isn't completely broken you aren't losing a lot of power. Don't think that your car will be so much faster. Chances are that you might barely notice it. The number above isn't that terrible for the mods you have and the auto trans.
