will an out of spec TPS affect performance?
I just went though the FAQ and it said that a bad Throttle Position Sensor will have irratic rpms that dip at idle but also said that nobody had problems while driving? If the TPS isnt adjusted right, what are the symptoms?
I dont have any CEL for it but just wondering if I should check mine or leave it.

If you don't have the two symptoms, irratic rpms and a dip at idle chances are yours is fine.
To check it quickly put an ohm meter on pins 2 and 3. There should be .5K ohms at the throttle closed position and 4K ohms at the fully open position. The sweep should be smooth all the way up. You can adjust it by losening the screws that attach it and move it slightly to obtain the correct reading at idle. (.5Kohms)
