knock sensor flex socket?

ok ive been trying to use a universal swival with a 12mm socket on the end but it wont work its to tall to be able to let the ratchet turn. is that why everyone says buy a 12mm flex socket insted of using a universal because i cant get the ratchet to turn because its to low and or the socket is too high. what other brand of flex socket can i get? or only craftsman? cause i dont want socket hight to be an issue anymore.

That is the same problem I have been having for the last few days now. I am trying to put mine back in. Anyways I went to a local hardware store this morning and bought a 12mm flex socket. I think I should be able to get the bolt started into the hole using this socket. Good luck with your knock sensor install.

This type of flex socket is best... with ball swivel

You can try this, but I couldn't get it to work ... the joints will bind @ the extreme angle... I have the craftsman ver and didn't work for me. It might for u and others tho. I posted a pic in another thread on how I got mine off.

Those are too tall. The one I have is less than .5" thick after the swivel part.

I don't think so. If the handle was at 30-45* in relation to the wrench head then it would work perfectly. Then again, taking the KS out is the easy part.

You could heat it up and bend it. I don't know there's enough room but I've seen ratcheting socket wrenches that have a **** on the end. You turn the **** and it turns the sockets. This is insead of ratcheting the wrench back and forth. But the head on the thing is larger.
