knock sensor flex socket?

knock sensor flex socket?

ok ive been trying to use a universal swival with a 12mm socket on the end but it wont work its to tall to be able to let the ratchet turn. is that why everyone says buy a 12mm flex socket insted of using a universal because i cant get the ratchet to turn because its to low and or the socket is too high. what other brand of flex socket can i get? or only craftsman? cause i dont want socket hight to be an issue anymore.

just be a man and use 2 swivels ok then use like a 9 inch extencion then the other swivel and you will me cool

That is the same problem I have been having for the last few days now. I am trying to put mine back in. Anyways I went to a local hardware store this morning and bought a 12mm flex socket. I think I should be able to get the bolt started into the hole using this socket. Good luck with your knock sensor install.

oops sorry I forgot to mention that the flex socket I have is made by DK and cost me about $17.00.

This type of flex socket is best... with ball swivel


You can try this, but I couldn't get it to work ... the joints will bind @ the extreme angle... I have the craftsman ver and didn't work for me. It might for u and others tho. I posted a pic in another thread on how I got mine off.

Those are too tall. The one I have is less than .5" thick after the swivel part.

I don't think so. If the handle was at 30-45* in relation to the wrench head then it would work perfectly. Then again, taking the KS out is the easy part.

You could heat it up and bend it. I don't know there's enough room but I've seen ratcheting socket wrenches that have a **** on the end. You turn the **** and it turns the sockets. This is insead of ratcheting the wrench back and forth. But the head on the thing is larger.
