Got some stuff done to the max....

Well today I had the whole day to my self. So I decided to work on the max. Had these nasty leaky exhaust gaskets, which needed to be replaced. I had bought the ones for the Y pipe and cat, and cat to cat back. I bought those at my local Nissan dealer...  Good price too. Installation was a breeze. Finally no more noise from that area, but the bolts are hard to torque down. The b pipe and muffler gasket was trashed also. But that one I had a hard time finding, but luckily Kragen had the gasket. The stock greddy gasket looked like Swiss cheese. I put the new one in, and tightened it hard… I fired the max up dead silent... I was grinning from ear to ear... Finally my car is quiet…

Also while I was at it, I dumped the oil and swapped the oil filer and drain plug copper washer for a new one. After 4.25 quarts of Mobil 1 10w30 she was a happy camper...

Another thing I noticed while under the car, is I only have 2ā€ of suspension travel all around.  I hate that! Hopefully I’ll have some sort of coil over suspension by DEC. These sprints really eat up the suspension travel. Oh well, the things we sacrifice for better looks..

That’s all…

I also did all that when transferring parts. Pretty tough job getting the stock crap off the car. Bought all 5 gaskets for $15 I believe, $3 each. 2 y-pipe crush rings, and 3 of the regular ones.
