bug deflector on hood?

My brother's pebble beige 4th gen has a nasty scrap/ dent up on the front end of his hood. The previous owner who did this just covered it with touch up but it still looks pretty nasty when u look at it.

I can cover this up with just the bra that goes on the hood or a bug deflector... i'm moving towards a bug deflector, but i'm wondering if anyone has pics they can show me?

oh yeah, and how are these installed? No drilling right?

thanks!

I think they are held on by 3M adhesive tape.
I don't know if I have ever seen one on a Maxima.
Just trucks and SUV's.

Are you still stock ride height? You'll look like a truck. JK.

How about a CF hood .

lol, CF hood is an excellent replacement but at this point, my bro wants to keep major stuff like that off the car because he's goin away for school... not really a safe place for modded cars there.

I see that custommaxima sells the deflector for $50. Doesn't look too bad...

I got one on my car. Go to my website to see some more pics. It's hard to see cuz my car is black but it's there. It sticks on with 3m tape but I ended up drilling some holes into the underside of the hood for a secure fitment. Last page on website has a few close-ups.

This site has custom fit bras and hood protectors:

http://autogeek.net/colcusbras.html

I may get the hood protector from them. It's just the hood piece from a full bra for $50.

I know bras can mess up the paint. My dad had a Nissan OEM bra for his 1994 300ZXTT and he did it right. He never left it on wet and always cleaned the car and the bra before installing it. It left no marks whatsoever on the paint after 5 years of use.

magnetic hood deflector

I've seen on and off a magnetic hood protector on ebay that sticks on by magnets and secured underneath the hood. Its just a piece of magnet that is flush with the car. Anyone have experiences with this?

Magnetbra.com is the magnetic hood protector. It's like a big refrigerator magnet, custom fit of course. I have one and it works well, but you shouldn't install it when it's hot out because air bubbles develop underneath. The website says you can paint it to match. It comes flat black.

That little bug reflector looks all right on the black, but I don't know what it would look like on another color car.
