And I have to say a like the effects it had. The car feels more secure around corners and just generally more solid. The bar came fast and it took only a few mins. to put it on and only $35 + shipping. Now I wonder what adding a RSB will feel like... Hmmmm...

IMO, if one can feel the improvement of FSTB at parking lot speed there's got to be something wrong with the structural design of the car.

I immediately added the RSB to my car after the FSTB mod.. what a difference it made.

Did fstb affect ride quality much?

I dunno if it's in my head, but it seems to me that my ride (96 se) is a bit rougher with fstb. Anyone share my feelings?

I agree with you. It doesn't handle pot holes as well but the handling is worth the sacrifice.

I too have the street beats FSTB, I don't feel much of a difference in the way my car handles besides maybe a more neutral cornering behavior. I believe a FSTB only makes you "feel" like the car is handling better. I strongly believe that the stat numbers wouldn't change with an addition of a FSTB. After tightnening up the front with a FSTB, you may want to add RSB and RSTB because having a tightned front end and a loose rear end doesn't make sense. You wouldn't be approaching a 50/50 suspension geometry.

What is this "50/50 suspension geometry" you speak of?

I am wondering if there is a real need to do anything to the rear because the Max seems to have a lot of push in turns(understeer). When I bought my Max it came with those crappy Toyos and I was afraid to take a curve in in the wet.
I have a FTSB from Courtesy that I am going to put in today. I am told that it will give me better front end handling. Oh yeah, I did go with Pirelli 6000 for the tires. I love em. I do get a lot more grip with the fron end but if the FTSB does what it is supposed to, I think my geometry will be close to evened out. Maybe I need more understanding with the rear suspension being a live axle and all.

Well, I am home and off to install my Courtesy FTSB. I'll let you know how I think it feels.
