I have looked through the forum to find out any causes for the lack of starting and it would seem that the starters go bad for the A33. Here is my problem:

Starter turns but the engine won't fire.
1) The fuel pump turns on
2) It doesn't matter how long it has been sitting b/c every once in awhile it will start.
3) It will run fine when it's on
4) It also doesn't matter if it hot or cold.
5) 155K

Any ideas, please I need your help. Thanks.

 

check spark plugs

 

check for cel codes, then

1. crankshaft position sensor - one near the radiator
2. coolant temperature sensor
3. crankshaft position sensor - near the pully
4. spark plugs
5. fuel filter / fuel pump /fuel pump fuse

 

9 time out of 10 all the stated above has noting to do with it. for example in my car i did all of this last night and today i evern replaced the spark plugs ($80) and its still doing it i dont know what to tell you man im trying to figure this one out on my own i you get it working right make sure to pm me aight
