ok my engine doesnt run as silent as it should compared to a friends that just got his 98 max,, mines just rocking like a real chevy 502 big block so any input on this

Yeh...my 98 is noisy as well. At a drive thru, where I can hear the engine sounds reflected off the wall, it sounds like a small diesel engine.

 

Lifter knock... yup yup, we pretty much all have it

 

actually i think its one of my pulleys i just found out sunday the noise is coming from one side of the engine and i think it my compressor pulley and i think i have found the problem with my airconditionin system

 

its it a whinny noise i think i got that too

 

mines like a knocking/rocking noise

 

hmm i think i have that too, but recently it started with this whiney noise that is more high pitched and overlaps other noises its coming from my belts , did you find the problem with the noise you are havin?
