axle replacement
Hi,
Can someone help? Am I right that my 96 max doesn't have limited-slip? I need to replace both axles and none of the parts stores around here stock them. They have to be ordered, but they want a number off the transmission or differential to make sure it doesn't have limited-slip. Can someone tell me where this number is? Any help is much appreaciated.
thanks,
Ruben

yeah you can double check what tranny you got by looking on that vin stamp thing on firewall. Look around in FAQs there is way to tell by the tranny number. And yes I would much rather check before ordering it because you might not be able to return it if it's the wrong one.

Roruiz, is your tranny auto or manual? If it's auto, the number you need is RE4F04A.
SlammedMax1, if your car was made for Canada (which I'm not saying it is because may cross the border each way), it should have an LSD.
