Stupid question about exhaust system
Get ready it's rather dumb.
If I drive the max in the winter, with the entire Y-pipe/B-pipe/etc. performance parts, will it rust (shouldn't, technically, but...).

lol! But how many of you drive the max in the winter? (It was either a max or a mustang 5.0, I took the max since it's much more original, looks better and doesn't drive like a drunk rhino in the snow but rust is truly my worst enemy. That and those rocks that try to kill you when you're following an obnoxious truck holding you in 2nd gear on the highway)

DAVE Sz is totally right. SS rusts, but is just more resistant to rust than say aluminized steel.
I would say that even in the worst winters with Aluminized steel, you should get at least 4 or 5 years out of it. That is probably longer than you will keep the car anyway. Trust me, you will either get tired of it or wreck it.
Plus, I mean, even if it does rust....what are you suggesting? to take off the exhaust for the winter and put it back on afterward? ha ha
