or you can always get the ones from redlinemax then open them up and use the inserts for your stock tails

Looks great man... Im actually going to clear out my old tails (2 sets) and then sell them. Better then just tossing them out.

What do you mean?
Is he selling just the inserts?
Does anyone sell just the inserts?

WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT PUT THEM IN THE OVEN! I heard it was easier, so we did, and first it got a LITTLE warped, then we tried to heat it back up, to push out the indents, then it all went to h*||. Basically it was all shaped weiird, and barely fit back on (gave up so just slapped em back on) then the lens fell of the road today, so I have to go to the junkyard tomorrow to find them, or buy custommaxima ones or the one set left on ebay.

Ah yes, one thing about ovens... different ones have different operating temps. Even thought it says 200 it might not be. It's written on all the freezer foods. Just be careful. I used the heat gun on my headlights and it worked awesome. I had a cheap bulb blow and it left a white haze all over the inside of one of them.

regarding the red side marker in the tails, I did mine first with it inside and absolutely hated how it looked, i removed it and did a full white/clear piece on the bottom and found it to be much more attractive.

as far as legal'ness goes, I just removed the white bulb and didnt replace it. my reds light up at night, that's all you need.

Nope I don't think they sell the inserts only. I got the red clears from them for 99 bucks but when I installed them the outer tails didn't match with the inners so I opened them up with a heat gun and used the inserts for my stock tail lights.

to be honest when i was first researching on how to go about opening the light i read the two ways to heat it up either the oven or the heat gun i basically saw the word oven and right after i got flash's of my tail lights on fire and me running around the house looking for a fire exstinguisher so i was def wasnt going that route but i found that the heat gun wasnt scarey at all just dont keep it pointed in one spot long the a second and TAKE YOUR TIME!!!! i cant emfisize that enought if you get excited and try to rush the process thats when stuff starts to get F'd up and u start getting ****ed so just take your time and do it right cause if you think about it if you do it right it will only have to be done once and you wont have to fix it a second or even a third time so get to stepping to home depot i hight suggest a decent heat gun with atleast a high and low setting and a dremmel was really crucial i think makes the cutting of the florescent covers very easy just keep on changing the dremmel disks because of the melted plastic and once again take your time with the whole process inside and out side tail lights took me a total of around 6 to 7 hours and i thought the results were totally worth it
