painted dash...

Thanks for the compliment. Painting the center panels is the best and cheapest way of improving the looks of your interiour, if you dont mind never being able to go back to factory. All I needed was two cans of Plasti-kote paint from Pep Boys. They were a little more than 3 bucks each. First, take all the parts that you want to paint out of the dash, then make sure they are all clean. If you have gotten any over spray from Armor All, then the paint will not adhere to the pieces. After that, you are ready to paint. I used about four coats that were very light and even. On some occasions, when I first started, I sprayed to close to the pieces and it did not turn out right. My best advice would be to take your time so everything turns out right.
I painted the interior of my car a little more than a year ago and nothing has chipped or sractched. The Plasti-kote paint is really durable. Also, to compliment the dash, I painted the e-brake boot the same color using a vinyl spray paint also made by Plasti-kote. Best of luck to all who try this....ADAM

I definately have to agree with you. I think that painting the dash is pretty much the cheapest way to go. Even though it might be cheap doesnt mean it still cant look good. I painted mine about two and a half years ago and do not have a single chip on it yet. I have attached a picture of it for larger viewing. Good luck on your dash.
