I am currently looking to change my front bumper around some. I am getting tired of the Stillen aero kit. Anybody know of any other kit that is currently available for a 97? I am not looking for a complete kit maybe just a front bumper or lip would be fine.

What do you have in your audio system? Looks like 3 W6s and 2 Orion 250 G4s....

 

Thanks ... my audio system is 3 12W6 JL audios. And the amps thought I wish were both 250 G4s are in fact one orion 225 HCCA red and the other a 250 HCCA red.

There is a new Black Widow kit out for the max. its at cheston's site MaximaDriver.com , its in the mods section , under styling ( the icon with the back end of a car ) i think that kit would look sweet on your ride ,,, and are you using air bags or coil overs , that looks like a big drop.

Yea i have air bags. If I change my front lip I will be putting the lip up for sale. I am not sue what kind of condition it is going to come out in because i have molded the lip to my front bumper. I will be posting the stillen kit on the for sale forum when I do remove it though. If intrested just drop me an email at dpxxbanxx@aol.com so I will have your email address handy when I change.

 

Im not to sure about the black widow. I just took a look at it. I like the opening on the sides of the front bumper but am not to sure aout the front part of the bumper. And the side skirts look great. Can't really tell from that angle but they look like something I might consider changing to. Do you know if there is anything done to the back bumper for the black widow?

Oh yea and I am using bags in my car. Well actually only bags in the front and cylinders in the back.

 

Its pretty hard to see , but if you look just to the left of the tiki torch or whatever the hell that thing is , you can see that there are rear sections for the Black Widow. From that angle its really hard to see , but it seems like they are the same as the erebuni or stillen kit, ill look for more pics thoe.

 

How much does it cost to mold the lip to the bumper?

 

Depends on what you want to use to mold it. Most people go with bondo, I bondoed it the first time and got a lot of cracking so I went with poly urathane. I think I paid about 150 to mold the lip on and get it painted.

 

The black widow kit isn't made for a Maxima. That car had it custom fitted. If you're going to all of that trouble, you might as well get a different style fitted. Personally, the black widow style is played out. I'm looking into getting a custom kit fitted to the car, having the Stillen kit is no better than stock these days, everyone has one.

 

Yea I agree with you about the kit. Do you have a picture of your car from the back? I would like to see how that mid wing looks on your ride.

I do not have a set price for my body kit yet. I will be posting it on the for sale forum on this site, so just keep checking there. I think it will take me a few weeks to figure out exactly what I want. So I would say be looking for it on the forum probably in a month or so.

Hey Wreckless, gottta give you props cuz your max is looking nice. I was thinking of the same thing about making the front lip into once piece, but its gonna crack so the heck with it.. does it work clean with they poly urethane the kit piece into one? What are you located at? I should have my car ready in oct 2001. I'm not a fan of the black widow kit, personally it belongs on an accord. the max is more of a lux car then accord. thats my opinion. Ok this thread is getting long. so i ll hit you up later. im running a stroker 15" and love it!!!!!! Custom system being worked on next month.. any suggestions on amp? i wanna get that orion 1200 watt amp!! dont know jack about amps.. so educate me please!!

thanks for the props. I like your Z-series fender. First time I seen it on the Maxima. Looks tight. I think you should mold the lip on the front. Poly urethane doesnt crack easily. Its been able two years since I molded it and have not had any cracking yet. If you are in souther cali. I can give you a place to go to, they do clean work. I have even heard of people using fiber glass to mold the kits on but dont know about the cracking and all with that. Yea I kind of dont like the black widow as well. Just the side skirts look better then stillens, well from the angle I seen it from anyways. I bet the double stroker hits hard. I wanted to get those but way to much $$$. I think you should go with a PPI amp if money aint no object. I am thinking about chaging mines to it. I seen somebody in the for sale forum selling a PPI amp. You should check it out.

Hey guys! I am a newbie and I am really into Maximas! I just wanted to say that I think the Wreckless Maximas is really cool. I saw it at my friend's bodyshop AEROTECH? I took a good look at it and it's flawless. Doesn't your car have a vinyl sticker setup? Never the less it's one of a kind.

Ok your maxima is pretty sweet man. If posible I would like some info. on it. Like what type of rims those are and if you did the custom work in your trunk yourself, some details on that for sure, or at least how it is set up.....again that is a very clean ride.

I think there are a few Orion 1200 watt amps but the cool one is the HCCA 275 G4, it's sick. Im going through the process of redoing my system and I want the 275 G4 but to tell you the truth, I think im afraid of it..haha, so ill probably go with the HCCA 250 G4 which does 800x1 @ 1 ohm.
