Basic Tein (True) Coilovers

whats up guys. i got it installed on sunday. It rides GREAT and the Drop is very Clean. i will post pics after i get a carwash. anyways.....
after installing it, i have this weird noise whenever i accelerate.
im not sure what it is. could it be the suspension???? noise is coming from the right front side of the car. (Pas. side)
weird because, when i put it on neutral, the noise dissapears, but when i put it back in gear, the noise starts again. sounds more like.....cloc.cloc.cloc.cloc
and it does not go away until i stop or if i go on neutral.

anyone with this suspension have the same problem?

oh and btw, the bottom of the strut, where you are supposed to bolt on your bolts to the car, the tein holes are like small, so i had to drill it to make it bigger. im like what the hell?

They are only height adjustable right? You can't adjust any other settings.

nope, you cant. its only height adjustable. but the way the spring and the shock is made, they are like perfect for eachother. it will give its best performance on however low you make it.

im going to go out on a limb with your decription of the sound and say it has absolutely nothing to do with your suspension install... if it goes away when you put it in neutral it sure as hell sounds transmission related to me. and no, hardly anyone has the tein basics yet so you aren't going to find much help from other owners of them because there are probably only like 2 on this board at this point.

Hey Maximus, mind me asking how much you paid. Im really not too ready to spend a ton of money on the JIC's, wondering how much the basic Tein would run. Thanks.

i only paid $808 total, shipped. its worth it, i'd rather pay for this suspension instead of lowered springs and struts. its not that much more expensive. good luck.

sorry nealoc, but i think it is my suspension.
after driving my car for like couple of days, the noise kinda went away, but it comes back when im turning left. then noise dissapears when im accelerating straight now, and there is also no noise when im turning right.
i checked the bolts, to see if they were tight on the top of the suspesion under the hood, and i found out that it is loose. i tried tightning more, but it just keeps turning, so i figure the nut and the thread is striped.
2 of the nuts do that, so i think i will have to buy a brand new perch for the top.
do you think that might be? im replacing it, and if its not it, than i will have to take it somewhere to have it inspected.
oh and btw, i just got my tranny rebuilt not too long ago. so i hope that's not the problem.
