Im 16, My 96 was only $4000. I worked my @55 of since I was 14 to cop one, my father spotted me $1000 though

 

man... 4g... thats cheap mine was almost 8g with 100k miles... oh the joys of spending 4000 into a max... i will have to wait...

 

Got mine in April when I was 17 (turned 18 in June). Boy is she a beauty: '97 SE with tinted windows, intake (oddly enough I found it in the trunk when I bought here!), strut bar, and clear corners...that's a good $400 of mods and she was $7.4K with 115K miles, I paid half. I was looking at some of the service records on it and the guy who had it last bought it with 30K miles in Nov. 2000, so that means he put 85K miles on it in 3.5 years, sounds like highway miles to me! Currently has 122K miles.

 

i bought my black, leather interior, power sun/moon roof 1997 SE, auto tranny max june 17 2004, i'll be 21 in january....got it for, well came down to $7,995 with 68k miles on it, came with xenon HIDs, Eibach springs, titanium emblems in the back, red clears, carbon fiber dash, 17 inch chrome rims, 235 tires, (have to go look to be sure on the tires), cold air intake, front strut bar, 15% tint, and dynamat all over the trunk...i put in the audio/video, more dynamat, a little more carbon fiber, and im looking to do catback exhaust, y pipe, UDP, and valvebody mod...not sure the dealer knew what he was giving me, i was there for a 1999, and he was supposed to hold it for me but sold it cuz hes a slimy dealer, felt bad so he pointed me to the black on black leather interior with all the mods he didnt even know it had...guy traded it in for a new max 2 hours before i got there so i just snagged it....well thats my max story

shyt now that im reading all ure prices, did i get one of the best deals on my max?

Wow thats one nice deal you got. That's one of the best priced Maxes I've seen. Simply awesome, wish I could've gotten it.

 

Actually, I haven't visited the .Org in awhile. I change my mind too fast about what car I want But the Maxima always remains on the list...it's the only car that remains a constant. I guess I'm not TECHNICALLY the youngest member on the forum since someone above posted that their 16th birthday is in Dec. (mine's in Nov.), but I have been on the .Org for more than a year (when I was 14).

Im 17 in 4 weeks. Ive had my max for almost a year now. Its being payed off by me and no one else. Took out a loan and even payed the down payment. My next project will make me the youngest as far as mods, i'll probably be the youngest to retrofit Bi-xenon projectors. Yes, thats right, bi-xenon projectors. Got a hell of a deal on ebay, and now im waiting on my headlight harness to wire these bad boys up and i'll start the install.

I also have a good $200+ in detailing supplies to keep my max looking beautiful.

I bought my car at 17.....I work for a gyn...and i sold contracts and saved up my hourley and my commision for about a maybe 8 months to buy the car. I got my 97 se 5-speed, fully loaded for 6999.....

whats wrong with being 16? Us 16 yr olds don't get any respect. Im holding up the maxima enthusium just as well as the older max owners. I think im the only 16 yr old around here that works so hard on their car. Im a proud max owner. I just get more time 2 mod my max then u older owner.

I got my 1996 Maxima almost a month ago.

 

I'm 16??? I got my '96 Se 5 spd. for $4800 and change for registration etc. My parents made me a deal (in response to "how can you afford it?") that if I bought a car that they approved of, so that they could keep me out of a 300zx (which I could have gotten), they'd pay for half. Nonetheless, I worked very hard for my money (4 jobs or so). Now I have a faster car for half the money I would have spent.

I on the other hand worked my *** off at my dads mechanic shop tryin to even get my maxima put together. I put a whole freakin dash and harness in mine. And if u wanna see how it came out come to my dads shop in freeport, long island It has to be me. Dads a car dealer and picked up 98 maxima gle,black, about 4 months ago. I basically learned how to drive on this thing. working at my dads shop i started fallin in love with the car. so over this summer and the few months i have before i even get my permit im gettin it ready.

19 Years old. Just got my 1998 Maxima-Se in mid June 62,000 for 9,000 fully loaded.

 

Bought my Max when I was 18, I'm 19 now.

 

I used to be 16, then I turned 17....

 

Dont knock the under 18 year olds, atleast not all of em.... I think I diserve a little credit for being 17 and creating this:

I think that the only reason you should knock on people younger than yourselves is if they had a universal wing on, dubs, and painted it neon green. I can speak for most of us when I say that we own nothing but clean cars, and respect it for what it is. We're the same as the older people on the org, without living expenses.
