95-96 red/clear info

just because I am curious, why is it exactly that I can't use 97+ tails on my car? are the sizes different? how much modification would be required and to what parts if a conversion were attempted?

95-96s have a crease in the trunk that the 97s and later do not. The 95-96 tail lights match the contours of the crease. I think there are some subtle dimension changes as well.

nope

the red clears to make for 95/96 is not as easy as the 97+. They are not two piece lights.

Repost! The dimensions are very different. The angle part pointing toward the trunk is at a very different angle on the different rear ends.

I'm sure it is a repost, but I can't search so I had to ask again. I would love to have red/clears, but I refuse to pay the price for some David L's. I like the style of the 95-96's better anyway with the clear on top. It just looks right to me. Now I just need to find out how that guy made them a long time ago and then do the same myself. It can't be that hard.

I also prefer the red clears of the 95-6 to the 97-9, which is why I ended up paying for the David L's...but I got it for over a 100 less than what they are going for now .
