Stock struts upgraded springs

I've already searched and looks like most don't have much luck with performance springs and stock struts. I am interested in knowing if anyone HAS a stock strut/upgraded spring combination where the struts actually did last. Please reply with type of spring as well as how long you've been running this combination.

Thanks,
Mike

H&R or maxspeed springs are the only way to go on stock shocks...

Yeah, I've already come to that conclusion, but the question is will the stock struts last like this?

if you want a clean drop, you cant keep your stock struts.
if you want a lowered spring that your stock struts can handle, then i say just keep it stock, there's no point. lowering your car just a little, you wont be able to tell the difference.

ohannon7 had maxspeed springs/stock shocks for about 6 months with no problems. Just keep in mind that you will have to replace these shocks with something better later or else you might run into blow shocks.

Thanks for all your input. Now lets hear some opinions from the other side, how many of you guys went with maxspeed, H&R or eibach springs had their struts blow already?

think about this, the stock strut will blow with any spring, OEM or not. Its just a matter of time. My 98 OEM suspension had blown front struts at 87K, but you would never know until you take them out and move the piston by hand. My (dads) 96 has 130K with stock front struts, that were used with Intrax for about 8-9K. They ride fine BUT I know they are blown, just not to the point of a real bouncy ride. DO yourself a favor and get new struts.

you should just get the struts, so that way, you wont have to worry about it.
