Injen intake filter swap to K&N
Injen intake filter swap to K&N
Ok last night I got back from work around 7:30 and right away opened the hood and took the injen intake apart, swapped the filter to a new K&N filter I got from the org classifieds for $30 shipped, this one was a much bigger filter. I couldn't drop it from the top of the engine bay because it was so big, I had to put in place from the bottom. It fit snuggly but no problem.
Right away the car changed the sound, it sounds much smoother, when pushed some of that raspy sound is pretty much gone, sounds suprisingly good. I can't feel any power difference but the exhaust sound change makes me think more air is coming in the engine and more is going out. I'm very glad I did this and recommend all the guys that have Injens do the same. When you put the Injen filter next to the K&N model I got, it looks ridicuously small.
